Freek Gols Linthorst is a dentist working in aesthetic and restorative dentistry, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and co-owner of ACCT, a multidisciplinary dental clinic with a strong focus on restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
He graduated from Radboud University Nijmegen in 2016 and has since concentrated on minimally invasive and additive dentistry, with a particular interest in direct anterior composite restorations. Much of his work is inspired by the natural tooth: its anatomy, histology, optical properties and the transformations it undergoes over a lifetime.
Alongside his clinical practice, Freek lectures and teaches nationally and internationally on anterior aesthetics, composite dentistry and restorative techniques. Together with Dr. Rhodri Thomas he developed the Spatial Layering Technique, an approach to direct composite layering based on the natural three-dimensional architecture of dentine and enamel rather than on fixed layering protocols.
His main interest lies in understanding nature and translating that knowledge into restorations that are at once minimally invasive and as natural as possible.
